• Camera Access: Required to scan visitor/checkpoint QR codes and capture photos for visitor entry and incident reporting.
• Location Data (Background & Foreground): Required during active patrol sessions to verify that security personnel are physically present at designated checkpoints within the premises.
• Visitor Information: Name, phone number, vehicle details, and photographs collected solely for society entry logs.
• Device Storage: Used to temporarily store offline patrol data and visitor logs when the device loses network connectivity, ensuring no data is lost.

3. How We Use Your Data

The information collected through the GATE AND GUIDE app is used strictly for community security purposes. We use this data to:

• Verify visitor identities and notify residents of arrivals.
• Ensure compliance with security patrol schedules through GPS verification.
• Log vehicle entry and exit times automatically.
• Synchronize offline activity with the secure Society Management Server.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

4. The "Zero-Cache" Policy & Data Security

To ensure maximum privacy for visitors and society members, GATE AND GUIDE employs a strict Physical Deletion Protocol for captured images:

• No Local Image Storage: Photographs captured of visitors or incidents are physically deleted from your mobile device's cache memory immediately after a successful upload to our secure backend. No sensitive image data remains permanently on the security guard's phone.
• Encryption: All data transmissions between the mobile app and our servers are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.
• Access Control: Access to the app is strictly restricted to authorized security personnel via secure credentials provided by the society administration.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Visitor logs, patrol data, and images are stored securely on the society's administrative servers. Data retention periods are determined by the respective Society Administration in compliance with local laws. Users (residents or staff) wishing to request data deletion should contact their respective Society Administrator.

6. Permissions Explained

When installing or using the app, you will be prompted for the following permissions:

• Camera: For QR code scanning and visitor photography.
• Location: For GPS tracking during active patrol rounds.
• Notifications: To receive urgent alerts and broadcast messages from the admin.
